Raku Workshop

Raku is an elemental and magical glaze firing process with beautiful and unique results.

Opening Times
10:00 – 18:00
The red-hot pots are transferred from the kiln to reduction buckets where they are smoked and and the glazes transformed as the oxygen is consumed, developing the characteristic but unpredictable Raku crackles and lusters. You take home your own unique and stunning creations!

The course is suitable for those with basic level of ceramics / sculpting upwards and want to learn about the Raku process, all glazes and firing costs are included.

If you’re a ceramic artist/maker then please bring along your work bisqued and ready for glazing.

If you’re an artist who doesn’t normally work in clay, please contact me and we can arrange a making in raku clay workshop to make work for the day!
