CICCIC: Lithography and Lithino Printmaking

10 week course includes the following:
Over the period of ten weeks (2 x 5 weeks) we will explore Lithography through the techniques of Paper Lithography, Foil Lithography and Lithino.

The first 5 weeks we will explore the methods and techniques of Paper and Foil Lithography, applying both monochromatic and additive layering to build your print from the background to foreground. Explore and create a design through drawing to finalise a finished design.

The second part of 5 weeks will extend the lithograph method through the technique of Lithino, where we will apply the lithograph method to prepared lino, using both for printing lithographs as well as being able to cut into the lino to build your layers up, through a reduction method.

You will create an edition of prints using the printing presses and Ternes Burton method of registration.
