About the artists

Artist and fashion designer Nina Westwood started the MINSKI clothing brand during her time at Plymouth College of Art in 2019. Since then it has developed into a project promoting upcycling, sustainable slow-fashion and expressing one’s individuality. Nina uses hand printing methods frequently to design fabric and rework old clothing. Taking inspiration from festival and bohemian style, as well as streetwear, Nina aims to create a sense of fun and playfulness in her work and encourages people to try clothing on and get experimental with their outfits. “It’s all about having fun, playing dress-up and enjoying the creative process of choosing an outfit!”

Ismay Rose Berncastle is a young multidisciplinary artist working within the art and music sectors in Devon and Cornwall. Using portraiture, she explores themes of identity, belonging and self expression which also feature heavily in her other practices in songwriting and performance. As a passionate member of her local creative community, Ismay Rose is currently in the process of creating a new local publication which will embrace and celebrate all that Plymouth’s creative community have to offer.
