Poetry Book Launch

This poet­ry event launch­es the books of two Uni­ver­si­ty of Ply­mouth based authors. Antho­ny Caleshu and Rachel Gippetti.

The poetry event launches the books of two University of Plymouth based authors. Professor Anthony Caleshu is the author of five books of poetry, most recently Xenia etc. (Shearsman, 2023). His work has appeared widely in journals on both sides of the Atlantic, including Agni, Narrative, Poetry Review, Poetry Ireland Review, and TLS. He won the Boston Review Poetry Prize in 2010 and is Professor of Poetry at University of Plymouth, where he leads the MA Creative Writing.

Rachel Gippetti is a writer and educator who grew up in Boston, Massachusetts and now lives in Plymouth, UK. Her pamphlet Birthright was published by Eyewear Publishing in 2016 and in 2022 she was shortlisted for the Bridport Prize for Poetry. She is the recipient of a doctoral studentship at the University of Plymouth and is working towards a PhD in Creative Writing.
