Plein Air at Delamore: Competition Day

Calling all artists, Plein Air at Delamore is a three-day arts event that will open the 2026 exhibitions. With new opportunities to experience creativity at Delamore, the weekend will culminate with an Open-Air Painting Competition for artists to enjoy a day in stunning surrounds, show off their skills, and take away monetary prizes in recognition of their work.

The day will welcome participating artists to setup and make art anywhere in the grounds with the opportunity to have their work judged as part of a competitive open air painting event. We want to encourage artists working in any medium to take part, from the more traditional expectations of open-air painting, like oils and watercolour, through to urban, digital, sculpture, printmaking and other practices.

This is a full day event. Competitors will have a maximum of 4 hours to create works, and artists of any age and ability are welcome to take part.

Fees and Booking Competition Day:

There is a fee to participate on the competition day which includes your entry to Delamore. This entitles your work to be judged in the relevant prize categories.

Standard £25.00 // 18-21 £18.00 // 16-17 £15.00

There is an upper limit on the number of artists we can allow to setup and have work judged on the day, so we encourage you to book in advance to avoid disappointment.
