Peter Coates’ striking and colourful work is influenced by the vibrant colours typical of the Mediterranean and Provence.
A trained graphic designer, Peter Coates took up painting full time in 2007. His striking and colourful work is influenced by the vibrant colours typical of the Mediterranean and Provence, and shown throughout his work by using techniques to create the wonderful rich depth of colour and texture to reflect the patterns of the landscape. Peter now lives in Dorset and paints scenes that reflect the colourful richness of the landscapes and seascapes.
