Open Studio
Open studio at Anchor Studio in Newlyn, with artist Wink King Moe
Wink K. Moe is a multidisciplinary artist working across oil painting, sculpture, aerial dance, and installation. Two months into her time at Anchor Studio, she has already fallen a little in love with Cornwall - the shifting coastal light, the vast sea, and the quiet intensity of its landscape.
Her practice is deeply informed by a fascination with deep-sea creatures and the abyss they inhabit. She often returns to documentaries of the ocean floor, drawn to its scale, obscurity, and the strange intelligence of life under extreme conditions. The awkward yet resilient forms of these organisms shape her visual language and thinking. Their ability to survive pressure, darkness, and isolation resonates deeply, informing both her artistic practice and the way she moves through daily life.
Thursday 12 March, 10am - 5pm
