NEW! Flower Painting of India
This two-day course takes inspiration from a collection of botanical paintings from Bengal, called “Fifty One Flowers”.
Looking at the colour, texture and structure of flowers, students will be guided through the traditional techniques of Indian miniature painting, beginning with paper preparation[staining and burnishing.
Students will then move onto painting using pigments, which students will have the opportunity to help prepare. Using a variety of techniques, such as colour flooding, blending and detailed shading; synonymous with Indian painting; students will recreate a beautiful flower of their choice using images provided by the tutor.
