Meet the Curator: A tour of Funded with Thanks

Many of the significant and loved works of art at RAMM are part of the collection thanks to the generosity and support of donors and funding bodies.

RAMM’s new exhibition Funded with Thanks explores the topic of museum funding and celebrates the quality and variety of Exeter’s Fine Art collection. Works from across the collection can be seen, including delicate watercolours of Victorian Exeter, dramatic scenes from classical mythology, and vivid depictions of Devonshire landscapes.

Join Assistant Curator, Eleanor Hutchison, for a closer look at highlights from the exhibition, including Frank Holl’s evocative depiction of Victorian poverty in The Song of the Shirt and Patrick Heron’s dramatic abstract painting Two Vermilions, Green and Purple in Red.

Following the tour, tea and cake will be served in the cafe where there will be the opportunity to further discuss with Eleanor the exhibition and RAMM's fine art collection.
