Luke England and William Oliver
Right now in our Milking Parlour Gallery is a joint show for Luke England and William Oliver.
Luke and William are the joint winners of Isabel de Pelet's Young Artist of the Year Award 2021 [aka YaY!] Our judges could not put a pin between the work of these two and, as they work in such differing mediums, decided to split the prize between them. As both Michelle McCullagh and William Montgomery before them can attest, this award is certainly one to win and bodes well for the future of these two. Ones to watch! The exhibit opens on the 25th of June and runs until the 22nd of July. [Tues-Sat, 11-3].
This competition is now in its 18th year and entry for this year’s exhibition will open on the 24th of September. Submissions will be invited from artists working in any medium who are under the age of 35 as of the start date of the competition.
Again this year there are First, Second and Third prizes up for grabs. Firstly the YaY! Guggleton Farm Arts prize of a month-long show in the Milking Parlour Gallery, with critical and curatorial input and publicity, plus a £100 towards costs. Secondly a £100 cash prize and, thirdly, a gift of artist materials. Details will be found on our website for how to submit work nearer to the time.
