Long Vacation 2.0
Long Vacation 2.0 is a group exhibition from Aoi Bird Collective.
Curated by @aoi.collective, Long Vacation 2.0 brings together newly produced works by Kei Wing, Jessie Tam, Ngo Chun Phoenix Tse and Sam Ng.
The exhibition borrows its title from the 1996 Japanese television drama Long Vacation. Through painting, drawing, installation and printmaking, the exhibition explores art-making as a way of navigating life’s uncertainties and cultivating moments for rest and reflection.
When nothing seems to be going right, we often feel like we have to keep going. But what if these moments of interruption could instead become an invitation to slow down, rest, and reflect?
In this exhibition, we reimagine the creative process and work as a “long vacation,” where taking a break can open up new possibilities. It opens up a different way of seeing and living more gently, where something new can begin.
