Kitchen Connections

Kitchen Connections’ by Henrietta Paine was created to represent the angst of young adults during isolation, when they were stepping into the world.

These paintings mark the time when large parties were illegal in lockdown and represents a time of angst due to the isolation and loss of contact due to these bewildered circumstances. Paine created these to honour the new generation of young adults at a vital time in their life. Through the use of oils, she aims to reflect the energy and vibrancy of the youth and their need for connection which has been pent up and disallowed due to the restrictions of lockdown.
Henrietta Paine has been exhibiting nationally for over thirty years and has been long-listed for the John Moore's 2023 painting prize.
