The enamelling process involves fusing tiny glass particles with heat to form a solid layer of colour onto a variety of different metals. You will make your own kiln fired enamelled creations, which may include: pendants, earrings, brooches, key rings, and pictures, all completed during the weekend. With step-by-step guidance and tuition, Katie will demonstrate each stage as you progress, and offer one-to-one guidance where appropriate. This workshop is suitable for complete beginners or those that would like to further their experience.

Meet the Tutor:
Katie was first introduced to enamelling by her mother 15 years ago, herself an enamel artist. Katie went on to learn from her mother, before going on to explore this magical art form further, creating work that takes enamelling beyond its traditional methods.

Over the last 15 years she has honed her skills producing unique and bespoke work for many clients and galleries. Once Katie mastered some of its techniques, she used more experimental methods to establish her own area of enamelling. Katie now specialises in turning any sketched idea into a piece of enamel work. Katie's customers know that anything is possible; if she can draw it, she can enamel it.

In recent years Katie has found great pleasure in sharing her experience in teaching this versatile and addictive craft.

You will be staying in our stylish accommodation on site, The Barrel Store.
