Jennet Thomas Artist Talk

An online talk as part of Od Arts Festival,‘Still and still moving’

Jennet Thomas makes films, performances and installations exploring connections between fantasy, ideology and everyday life

Her films are often darkly comic and absurd, they collide genres and explore collective constructions of meaning.

Her work ‘The Great Curdling’ is on show at Od Arts Festival, Still and still moving from 26 - 28 May 2023. The film is the third in a series of works, the first two parts of which share the title ‘ANIMAL CONDENSED>>ANIMAL EXPANDED’. The trilogy uses dark humour to explore a web of ideas including abuses of Industrial farming and Artificial Intelligence. Each part functions as a stand alone work as well as part of the series. Jennet will speak about her work and share clips of the films. There’ll also be an opportunity to ask questions.

The full versions of ANIMAL CONDENSED>>ANIMAL EXPANDED part one and two are available to view in full as part of Od Art Festival’s online programme, 26 May - 4 June.
