In Our Nature

Dorset Visual Arts’ first-ever DVA Member Open Call, In Our Nature,’ is a major new exhibition.

The exhibition, part of the 2025 DVAtions programme, will be on display at the Fine Foundation Gallery in Durlston Country Park from 23rd May to 11th June 2025. DVA will curate the exhibition, with works selected by Shannon Dugdale, Visitor Services Ranger and Gallery Manager, Durlston Country Park NNR, and Toby Wiggins RP.

The displayed works will embody the essence of Dorset's natural environment, ecology, and habitats, through diverse artistic expressions. The exhibition will showcase the artists' connection to place, location, residency, and belonging, inviting the audience to experience the natural bounty and wonder of Dorset.

Dorset Visual Arts and Dorset Council have declared a Climate and Ecological Emergency with Culture Declares. Conversations and action around ecology, climate and sustainable living are central to DVA’s aims and mission.

DVA wants to enable its Members, communities and arts audiences to engage in a positive dialogue around the issues and challenges for a more sustainable Dorset and to help better understand and protect our natural environment.
