A sculptural discussion on hostile architecture, its infiltration within urban areas and its effect on marginalised communities.
Originating from Alaric's interest in hostile architecture, this new project has spread into the many facets of abrasive measures to deter people, such as sex workers, the homeless and asylum seekers. This series of sculptures emphasises these methods with a particular focus on etymology, colours and materials used, like in all of Alaric's work, twinned with a slight mocking tone. Alaric hopes to share his passion for equality with sculptures that represent the injustice that these systems hold in place.
