Musicians / Artists
Jack Dale & Bastien Terraz
Jack Dale has established himself as a songwriter, singer and guitarist over many years of being a musician in Southampton. The duo’s style is a blend of folk and blues influences like Kelly Joe Phelps, Nick Drake, John Martyn and Charlie Parr. Bastien Terraz is a freelance bass player and teacher based in Southampton. Classically trained, Bastien studied Music at University and started his career as a jazz bassist, before branching out to perform with a host of performers and bands over the course of the last 20+ years.
The Real Raj & Steve Picken
Raj is a singer songwriter. Depending on when you catch him you will find him playing guitar, harmonica, tambourine, mandolin, kazoo, banjo, or ukulele – not necessarily in order or all at the same time but sometimes very close…On occasions, also joined by cello player, classical guitarist, or saxophonist.
Provincials sound is pooled from the backgrounds of three very different individuals. From their improv beginnings, the group’s songs have gradually coalesced into melancholic, explicitly English pop songs, becoming part of the modern English folk music lineage that includes Vaughan Williams, the Incredible String Band, Talk Talk, and These New Puritans, while also evoking the hushed reverence of Stars of the Lid and Low.
Local Food Truck
Plus we’ll be joined on the night by Mamas Kitchen serving up delicious traditional Thai dishes!
