Generous Food Futures
Explore food systems, hear from local food producers and activists, as well as imagine how we can creatively use technology to build generous cities.
For starters, join us for a free day event as we partner up with Bristol + Bath Creative R + D to explore a fusion of thoughts, feedback, and ideas around connecting as a community to bring about sustainable futures and waste not.
For mains, the day will include guest speakers, conversations and experimentation to help us explore how a generous city can be developed through thinking about food. We’d love to hear your thoughts and learn from your experiences. Designing generous cities is about having fun and celebrating what people naturally do in their communities – sharing, helping, exchanging, growing and being creative.
For dessert, we will share a banquet created by a local chef. Ideas from the day will be digested into an experiment or mini prototype, which uses technology to implement a generous food system.
On the side, we only have limited spaces for this event. If you’d like to save a space please fill in our survey form. If more people are interested then we can host, names will be pulled out of a ‘hat’ and you will be contacted around your space. If you would like to attend with others, please read the guidelines on the form. bricksbristol.org/2022/09/generous-food-futures/

Bristol + Bath Creative R + D
Bristol+Bath Creative R+D is a £6.8 million collaboration to take the Bristol and Bath cluster to the next level by forging connections, sharing knowledge and creating new opportunities.
We offer a suite of support to the region’s businesses, creatives, artists and thinkers to experiment with new and emerging technologies, conduct research, and develop prototype products and experiences to share with the public. We are contributing to the development of Bristol and Bath’s thriving creative economy by supporting a socially responsible environment for innovation that is inclusive and sustainable, which puts people first, and is underpinned by careful research. Our team is drawn from UWE Bristol, Bath University, Bath Spa, Bristol University, and Watershed. We take an investigative look at the future of networks, ecologies, collaborations and research. – Bristol + Bath Creative R + D.
