Exeter Contemporary Open is an annual open submission exhibition that, over the last 20 years, has come to be recognised as one of the most prominent regional contemporary art platforms for showcasing emerging talent alongside more established artists from across the UK.
The 2026 exhibition features twelve artists who were selected from over 600 hundred entries, by a panel consisting of independent gallery owner Sid Motion, artist Martyn Cross, and Phoenix Gallery curator Matt Burrows.
Its aim is to showcase exciting new work that reflects current themes and concerns in contemporary art practice.
