Drawing Worldlines is a lively day-long workshop about making and telling stories together, open to everyone as part of Print in Action.
Together we’ll draw, print, cut, and make a brand new myth that’s never existed before, as well as discussing and celebrating why and how we tell stories.
We’ll have conversations, discussions, and celebrations of ideas and work at the start and end of the day.
This event is open to all enthusiastic (or just interested!) about storytelling and creative making. Delivery and setup is inclusive of all ages, abilities, and neurodivergence.
About the organiser:
Sam Rowe is an illustrator, researcher, and teacher. This workshop explores the late stages of a project concerning the process and meaning of storytelling as an act, focusing on the agency of the teller. Sam is a Senior Lecturer and Course Leader of BA (Hons) Illustration at Arts University Plymouth.
Other facilitators:
Naomi Batts is an illustrator, researcher, and lecturer building new teaching methodologies around intuitive making and the importance of personal fulfilment in creative practice.
Laura Hole is an illustrator, lecturer, and comic-maker based in Plymouth, telling stories through words and pictures on themes around social justice, feminism, music, and all things spooky.
Cost
Ticket fees are £5 and support the running of the event.
