DAVID LYNCH | ARTIST'S CHOICE
Screening and supper
David Lynch’s 1977 dystopian debut feature film Eraserhead is an influential indie cult classic, with striking black and white cinematography and iconic sound design. Set in a desolate industrial landscape, this surrealist film depicts the trials and tribulations of a young man who struggles with the demands of becoming a father.
Described by Lynch as ‘a dream of dark and troubling things’, it stars Jack Nance, who would go on to be a long-term collaborator with Lynch, through his recurring role as Pete Martell in Twin Peaks.
Eraserhead has been selected by Helston-based psychoanalyst and DJ Tom Greenall as a tribute to the influence of Lynch’s work and life on his own practice.
