Dan Guthrie: brb Residency Screening: New works in progress
To mark the close of Dan’s brb…residency at The Garage, Caraboo Projects hosts a screening of new & in progress film work followed by Q&A.

As part of Caraboo Projects brb... residencies, six emerging South West artists will each undertake an individual micro-residency hosted by The Garage. During the last week of each month each mentee will be able to use the space in whatever way they see fit. Stroud based artist Dan Guthrie will be in residence between 26th April - 1st May.
Dan is a researcher and programmer whose work often explores facets of Black Britishness through the lens of moving image. He was a participant of AMPlify residency at Wysing Arts Centre and has shown his work at ICA, London, International film festival, Rotterdam as well as being featured on BBC New Creatives.
As part of brb... each artist was paired with a mid-career artist or curator in the South West, to have conversations offering support and advice around their practice, and make connections during a time of isolation. Dan Guthrie has been paired with Nella Aarne the Co-Director of Obsidian Coast, Bradford-on-Avon, and the convener of the Of Animacy Reading Group.
