Creative South West 'Staying Home : Taking Flight'
Exhibition by Creative South West Textile Artists featuring work in response to lockdown and release
The ‘Staying Home :Taking Flight’ Exhibition reflects Creative South West textile artists’ responses to lockdown and our subsequent release. Much of the work draws on our experiences of life during the pandemic: home and nature, isolation and community, fears and hopes, loss and new directions.
Included is our Stay at Home collective piece from the first lockdown, which draws inspiration from the immediate space of home and garden, as well as what we missed whilst in isolation, such as family, friends and familiar places.
The Exhibition also includes recent artwork, unique handmade gifts, and wearables for sale.
Creative South West is a non-profit making organisation for professional and emerging designer makers and textile artists
