Creative Methodologies Workshop at the Arthub
Join us for a friendly, hands-on exploration of Gel Printing and Collage, inspired by the shapes, patterns, and structures found in architecture.
Throughout the term, you will look at a range of local and international artists who weave collage and architectural ideas into their work, in imaginative and inspiring ways.
Together, we will experiment with gel printing to create colourful printed papers and richly textured surfaces, becoming the building blocks for your collaged images. Each session will gently guide you through playful approaches to composition and form, giving you space to discover your own style and visual voice.
We’ll explore a variety of gel-printing methods using paint, printing ink, chalk, and oil pastels to create diverse textures and marks. You’ll learn how these printed elements can be used thoughtfully within your collages, and how your images can be further developed through drawing, painting, or printmaking to form a finished compositional piece, using alternative ways of composing.
Whether you’re new to these techniques or looking to deepen your creative practice, this workshop offers a supportive environment where you can explore, experiment, and be inspired alongside other creatives in the group.
