CAST’s popular programme of free artist-led creative activities returns this summer, with CAST-Off sessions taking place on Saturdays from 30 July to 20 August in the walled garden at National Trust Penrose.

Sessions run from 10am to 12 noon and 2 to 4pm, with activities including pigment making, pinch pottery, wood construction, clay modelling, botanical exploration, wild weaving, cyanotype photography and nature-based printmaking.

In addition, for the first time, CAST is extending the programme out onto the Lizard peninsula. with a new series entitled CAST-Away, which will take place on Wednesdays from 3 to 24 August. The CAST team will lead creative activities at four different locations, responding to the character of each of these special places and to the opportunities each offers for invention and adventure. Our team will be joined by special guest artists and musicians to inspire imaginative making, movement and play.
