In a socially engaged arts practice where collaboration, empathy, and connection are central, navigating professional boundaries can be complex and emotionally demanding. This workshop offers a reflective and practical space to explore the ethics, challenges, and responsibilities that come with socially engaged work. This workshop will offer:
- How to set and maintain healthy boundaries in your arts practice
- How to manage expectations from people you work with
- Tips and tricks to remain mindful when projects get busy
Led by Performance artist & facilitator Louise Hill-Davis, the workshop will include group discussions and tools for developing personal and professional strategies that protect both the artist and the integrity of the work.
Ideal for artists, producers, and creatives working in community settings.
About Louise Hill-Davis
Louise Hill-Davis is a creative writer, performance artist and facilitator. She brings her passion for storytelling and connection into workshops that explore care, creativity and community. Alongside her artistic work, Louise trains healthcare staff in Learning Disability, Autism and inclusive practice. She works at the intersection of arts and social care, supporting creatives to build sustainable practices that protect their wellbeing and the integrity of their work.
