Bristol Photo Festival, the international biennial of contemporary photography, returns with its third edition, 'Time Machine', exploring time not as a linear progression but as something layered, cyclical and continually unfolding.
16 major exhibitions and a landmark historical exhibition are presented across Bristol's leading museums, galleries, historic buildings and independent spaces.
The opening week takes place 14 - 18 October 2026, with exhibition launches, parties, live music, talks and tours.
The festival brings together internationally acclaimed artists alongside significant voices from the UK and beyond. All exhibitions are free to visit, with donations welcome to support the future of the festival.
