BORDERLAND is an exhibition of new intaglio print works by Pauline Scott-Garrett that gently navigate loss and discomfort produced through dislocation, displacement, or exile. Building on the intuitive nature of her practice, she uses fragile garments to evoke rather than depict a human presence within the work. During the exhibition (Sat 2 Nov 3-6pm) on there will be readings in English and Spanish from "Six Poems" a zine by Josephine Corcoran created in response to Borderland and Trump's 2018 zero-tolerance immigration policy which enforced the separating of children from their parents at the border.

Scott-Garrett was supported by the National Lottery through Arts Council England to undertake a 12-month residency + exhibition at RISE in Frome. Drawing on a body of research, she produced large-scale print works, a video and site-specific text collage installation for "Undertow" a solo show in 2023. She had work selected for the Director’s Cut Woolwich Contemporary Print, The Anxiety of Interdisciplinarity an exhibition, part of IMPACT 12, UWE Bristol in 2022 and University of Cambridge, 2023.

Her solo show "Fragments of Wealth" Drawing Projects UK in 2021 included work created during a residency at HOUSE in Clifton Bristol which focused on loss and the city's role in the Atlantic Slave Trade. Her studio is based at Drawing Projects UK, near Bath.
