Arts Council Funding - informal conversation
On Thursday 30 Oct Arts Council England announced that they are pausing the next round of Developing Your Creative Practice (DYCP), their fund for individual creative and cultural practitioners, until April 2026. Instead they are putting the money allocated for DYCP into a ring fenced R&D fund within National Lottery Project Grants (NLPG).
For many artists this has been a confusing announcement, and individuals now need to decide whether to wait until April 2026 to submit a DYCP application, or make changes to their application and apply for an R&D NLPG.
VASW are hosting on an informal group conversation for any South West based practitioners who were planning on applying for DYCP, and need some help in working out what to do next.
Please note this will be a large group discussion rather than individual surgeries.
