A day of free activities and discussion-based workshops with arts professionals to learn about a career in the creative industries.
A day of activities and discussions to learn about career opportunities in the arts at Hauser & Wirth Somerset.
Participants will have the opportunity to hear from artists and arts professionals about what inspired them to pursue a career in the creative industries. This event is aimed at young people aged over 16 years. Young people may attend alone or be accompanied by a teacher, tutor or parent.
This event is free, however advance booking is required. If you are booking through a school or university, places are limited to 10 students per institution. Please contact hwsomersetlearning@hauserwirth.com to book or request further information.

• 9.30 – 9.55 am: Arrival, registration and refreshments in the Implement Shed
• 9.55 – 10 am: Welcome and introduction with Eleanor Sanghara Güstard, Learning Coordinator, Hauser & Wirth
• 10 – 10.30 am: ‘Mapping my Future’ with Jack Young, Artist, Educator and Spike Island Engagement Fellowship Recipient (2022)
• 10.30 – 11 am: ‘Arts in our Region: Opportunities and Possibilities’ with Simon Lee Dicker, Co-Founder, OSR Projects
• 11 – 11.10 am: Break
• 11.10 – 11.30 am: ‘Building a Creative Porfolio’ with Alan Kirwan, Learning Manager and Eleanor Sanghara Güstard, Learning Coordinator, Hauser & Wirth
• 11.30 am – 12.30 pm: Exhibition tour of ‘Present Tense’
• 12.30 – 1 pm: Q&A
