Art and Nature - Outdoor Workshop with Rachel Heard (Adults, 16+)
Join Wiltshire-based artist Rachel Heard to learn creative skills, within the beautiful setting of Coate Water Country Park.
Participants will meet at Richard Jefferies Museum, and begin the day with a short tour of a new exhibition of artworks inspired by Coate Water, from the Swindon Collection. They will then be led on an inspiration-gathering nature walk, before receiving a demonstration from Rachel and choosing a spot to paint and draw. After refreshments of tea, coffee and cake, an afternoon session will focus on Coate Water’s famous Diving Platform, which is currently shrouded for conservation.
No prior experience necessary.
All materials are included in the session fee. Participants are asked to bring their own camping chairs and suitable clothing for the weather.
