Workshop: Access to Work for Individuals

Join Cathy Waller as she demys­ti­fies the Access to Work appli­ca­tion process, with tips on get­ting sup­port in place to assist your practice.

Access to Work is a resource that helps to create a more accessible work environment. It provides grants to remove barriers that disabled people face in undertaking paid employment.

If you’re a complete beginner or completely baffled, join Cathy Waller in this webinar as she demystifies the application process, what they can offer and provide top tips on getting access support in place to assist your artistic practice.

The workshop will be online via Zoom with Otter AI captions and BSL. A recording of the workshop will be available on the VASW website for three days after the session (12, 13, 14 June) for those not able to make it on the day.

About Cathy:

Cathy Waller is an award winning Choreographer and Movement Director, working for over 15 years in contemporary dance, theatre and film. Alongside her artistic work, Cathy works as a consultant within the sector supporting strategy, growth and access action.

Soon to be announced in May 2024, Cathy Waller Company in partnership with Disability Arts Online have developed Decode, an agency that provides 1-1 support for creatives applying to Access to Work whilst offering training and education to employers within the Arts and Culture sector.
