‘This is me’ is the theme for our next annual Documentary Photography Open Exhibition. It explores who the people living in North Devon are today. In a world that is constantly changing, where people are constantly moving, we invite you to reflect on what makes you… you.
The exhibition will run from May to July 2026 and will reflect who we are, and the roots and traditions that make us who we are.
Photographs should reflect what the theme means to you. For the first time in the history of the Annual Documentary Open, we are also accepting composite photographs.

Young Digital Documentary Open 2026
Our new Young Digital Documentary Open Exhibition asks young people aged 14–18 years to explore through documentary photography who they are now and how they relate to the world around them.
Submissions to the Young Digital Open will be exhibited digitally in the exhibition and online.
