South West Printmaking Open 2022
Calling all printmakers across the South West!
We are looking for eclectic, exciting and compelling artists working across print in all forms to join us for our very first South West Printmaking Open at Studio KIND.
Studio KIND. is known for its print studio at the front of the gallery, and what better way to celebrate all the fantastic work that is being made in printmaking across the South West than bringing some of our finest printmakers together under one roof?

Studio KIND. is a community contemporary art space in North Devon. Founded as a community interest company in 2020, Studio KIND. presents the work of both local and national, early-career and established artists through an ambitious and diverse programme of exhibitions and events, curated to excite imaginations, challenge perceptions and create connections.

Key dates
Exhibition dates: 1st to 15th October 2022 (we are open Wed-Sat, 12:30-5:30)
Opening event: 30th September
Application deadline: midnight on 7th September
Confirmation: 12th-18th September
Work drop off: Wednesday 28th September
Work collection: Sunday 16th October
How to apply
There is no fee to enter. £20 will be payable only upon successful admission to the exhibition to help towards our running costs. This must be paid no later than 21st September 2022.
You can apply with up to four artworks. Please note that we may only select one work, and the exhibiting fee will be the same regardless of number of works submitted and/or exhibited.
The largest work we can accept is A0. There is no restriction to the type of printmaking you can apply with, and we’re open to print in the most expanded form.
To apply please send an email with the subject ‘South West Printmaking Open 2022’ to laura@studiokind.org.uk.
The email must include:
- a PDF with images of the 1-4 submitted artworks, including title, dimensions, year, type of print (silk-screen, lino, digital, etc) and price (if for sale).
- a 100-200 word artist statement
- a 100-200 word bio, with links to your website/social media if applicable.
If you would prefer, you can include an audio file or video as your artist statement and bio instead of a written one. Please contact us if you have any other access needs.
Please note Studio KIND. will take 30% commission on all works sold.
