The Burton has developed a yearly commission to support and promote artists from across the South West region. We are passionate about supporting local talent and this commission provides artists with a paid project with the final work accessioned into our renowned permanent collection.

We are seeking to commission a local South West artist, or collective, to develop a piece of work in response to climate change and environmental change, all media considered. This creative exploration will result in work/s that will be displayed in the Burton for 6 months before joining the Burtons Permanent Collection to be toured or loaned out.
