Somerset Art Weeks Festival 2024 Micro-commissions
We’re looking to commission 5 – 7 artists/artist collectives in Somerset to make new work responding to the Festival theme “Landscape – Flux and Flow”
We are calling artists in Somerset to express an interest in producing new works that respond to our 2024 Festival theme of “Landscape – Flux and Flow” – As we move through this time of transition, we ask you to curiously examine your relationship with the land, sea, environment and landscape.
The proposed work can be in any medium, including sound, moving image, photography, live art and should either be site-specific or have a clear idea of the context in which it would be presented. Find the full PDF brief and application form on the Somerset Art Works website.
Selected artists will be offered a budget of up to £2,000 including fees and materials
We welcome applications from all artists living AND/OR working in Somerset. To apply, please complete the online application form by Thursday 28 March 5pm.
Shortlisted candidates will be notified by 9 April and interviews will take place on the week between 22-26 April, 2024. For further information or assistance completing the application, please contact Zoe Li: zoe.li@somersetartworks.org.uk
