Senior Finance Manager
Support the Board and the Director by ensuring the sound financial management of the charity.
JOB OUTLINE
SALARY: Band 8 £31,837 – £38,015 (pro rata)
EMPLOYMENT TERM: Part-time, permanent contract, 3 days per week
DAYS/HRS OF WORK: 22.5 hours per week
LINE MANAGER: Director
REPORT: Reported to by a full-time Finance Officer
You will support the Board and the Director by ensuring the sound financial management of the charity through the preparation and oversight of budgets, the preparation of management accounts and financial reports to Board, budget-holder and funders, and by ensuring all statutory financial obligations are met. The post will also support the Director, Development, Operations and commercial teams in maximising income from a diverse range of sources. You will line manage a full-time Finance Officer, and offer support and guidance to the wider staffing team. You will also join the gallery’s Senior Management Team.
We are passionate about encouraging more and different types of visitors to use our galleries, and engage with our programmes. All staff will play a role in this. We’d like to welcome more children and young people to the gallery and encourage older people to visit more regularly too.
For this senior role we expect a level of specialist knowledge and expertise, but most of all, we are interested in your potential to carry out this role, and this may not be dependent on qualifications, but relevant skills and transferable experience.
