Workshop

Preparing to create your portfolio website

A workshop led by independent graphic designer Maeve Redmond for artists and artworkers creating a website to showcase their work.

2pm Tuesday 7 May

This workshop will not take place on 19 March as previously stated. We are in the process of finding a new date and will confirm as soon as possible. Apologies for the inconvenience.

This workshop looks at how to begin creating a portfolio website, whether you're setting up your own site using a template or commissioning a designer to make something bespoke. We'll be looking at how to communicate and present your work and practice online, from considering audiences to organising content and creating a coherent structure.

Maeve Redmond is an independent graphic designer based in Glasgow, Scotland. She works primarily with artists, writers and cultural organisations to produce publications, promotional campaigns, visual identities and websites. She collaborates extensively with curators, artists and writers to exhibit commissioned work that results from her design practice.

Redmond is a visiting lecturer at The Glasgow School of Art, Edinburgh College of Art, University of Dundee’s Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design, and Northumbria University.
