Open exhibition: What brings me joy
Open Exhibition at Glenside Hospital Museum in Bristol, seeking artists from multiple disciplines
One aspect of maintaining mental fitness is to participate in activities that bring joy. With this exhibition we would like to celebrate creativity as well as entertain our visitors.
Glenside Hospital Museum, Bristol is a unique museum with a historical mental health care collection. We use the objects, information and creative talent of the custodians to explore the care provided to help patients recover.
The Victorian Asylum environment was designed to facilitate good food, sleep, and exercise. It also provided people with a purpose through occupation and activities that had the potential to lift their spirits.
We are seeking to deliver a stimulating and inspiring exhibition for our visitors and lift their spirits through your work.
We welcome artists who would like to use our collection for inspiration, but this is not a requirement. The exhibition is in a church so it is not a traditional space.
Please visit our website for submission info plus full terms and conditions.
