Open Call Exhibition for Young Artists of Colour in Bristol
To celebrate Black History Month, Creative Youth Network are inviting young Black people aged 11 – 25 to submit their artwork for an exhibition.
To celebrate Black History Month, Creative Youth Network are inviting young Black people aged 11 – 25 to submit their artwork for an exhibition that will take place at The Station throughout October.
This is open to anyone that has the following artwork that they would like to exhibit:
- Paintings/drawings
- Photographs
- Small sculptures
- Film
- Illustrations
- Digital work
- Soundscapes and installations
You don’t need to have any previous experience of exhibiting your work but the piece / pieces that you would like to include in the exhibition should be:
- Suitable for people aged 8+
- Have no offensive content or language used
- Provide your work ready to hang. For example, if you want your work framed then please frame it yourself ready for the exhibition. Or, if you’re showing a film, make sure it’s provided as an MP4 file, edited and ready to show. Dates for your diary:
If you are submitting work for the open call, please be aware of these important dates and make time for them:
- 26th September, 5pm – deadline for submitting work
- 3rd – 5th October – send or deliver your work to The Station, Silver Street, Bristol, BS1 2AG so that it can be prepared for the exhibition.
- 6th October, 5.30 – 7pm – launch evening for all of the artists, friends and family.
- 7th – 29th October – dates of the exhibition
- 31st October – 3rd November – collect your artwork from The Station
