Open Call - Creative Writing Group Facilitator
God’s House Tower is inviting applications from writers and creatives to facilitate a series of free creative writing workshops using our contemporary
About the Creative Writing Group:
GHT launched the creative writing group in January 2021, meeting online via zoom during GHT’s forced closure in monthly sessions which explored the many chapters of God’s House Tower’s history.
Following on from the success of this activity, and the reopening of the building in July 2021, we now hope to continue this work, using our contemporary art programme as the stimulus for creative writing.
What we are looking for
We are accepting project proposals from writers, creatives and facilitators from a range of backgrounds who can demonstrate:
- Previous experience delivering creative writing workshops.
- An understanding of different abilities and interests.
- Ability to be flexible in approach.
- Deliverable and engaging activities which will make the group feel more connected to each other and develop their creative skills.
- A structured plan for a series of sessions, developing work and growing ideas.
- Room for co-creation and development with the participants.
- Ability to create a tangible outcome for a sharing event in GHT in early December 2022.
How to apply
Written proposals should be no longer than 2 sides of A4 and include:
- A project overview detailing the planned activity for the sessions, the proposed structure for each session.
- Insights in to how feedback will be captures and how the sessions will achieve the aims and outcomes as stated above.
- An overview proposal for the sharing event at God’s House Tower – the final product we hope to be shaped by the participants.
Please also include a short personal statement detailing relevant experience of previous community work in a creative arts setting. Proposals can be submitted by individuals or artists working in collaboration.
