Open Call: Access Commission 2025

a space’ arts are look­ing to com­mis­sion a d/​Deaf, blind/​visually impaired, dis­abled* and/​or neu­ro­di­ver­gent artist to make new work.

‘a space’ arts are looking to commission a d/Deaf, blind/visually impaired, disabled* and/or neurodivergent artist to make new work which will be exhibited at our headline venue, God’s House Tower.

Fee
There is a £7,000 budget available for this commission and a separate Access Fund for additional financial support if its needed.

Deadline
The deadline for artists to submit an Expressions of Interest is Monday 17th February at 9am.

Online Information Sessions:
Two online information sessions will also provide an opportunity for artists to hear from the ‘a space’ arts curator & programme manager, Mia Delve, who will talk through the artist brief and be available for any questions.

The first session will take place on Tuesday 28th January at 10am.

The second session, with BSL, will take place on Thursday 30th January at 6pm.

*Please note: due to current resource and venue limitations, this commission may not be suitable for artists with higher support needs or signicant learning difculties. We are working toward creating opportunities that better support all access needs in the future.
