RAMM is recruiting a Museum Visitor Services Supervisor to lead the Visitor Services Team and deliver an outstanding visitor experience as well as safe and efficient day-to-day running of Museum buildings.
You will have great administrative skills and be experienced in the delivery of Visitor Services in order to lead the Visitor Services team and take responsibility for the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of the Museum Services and Buildings. If you’ve got what it takes to balance administrative with security and organisation skills and an inspirational, up-beat approach to managing a team, you could be the person we’re looking for.
You will ensure the security and safety requirements of the Museum Service are met, manage, train and inspire our diverse team of Visitor Services staff and volunteers and work closely with the Operational Services Lead to deliver an outstanding experience for all our visitors.
A visit to RAMM should consistently surprise and delight and every interaction with the Visitor Services Team should exceed our visitors' expectations!
The Royal Albert Memorial Museum (RAMM) is an award-winning regional museum funded by Exeter City Council and the Arts Council through the National Partner Organisation scheme. Re-launched in 2011 following a major Heritage Lottery Funded redevelopment, winner of the Arts Fund Museum of the Year Award in 2012 and with a vibrant exhibition, events and corporate hire programme, as well as visitors averaging in excess of a quarter of a million per year, RAMM is a friendly and welcoming service that sits at the heart of Exeter’s cultural and economic life.
With consistently ‘Excellent’ reviews on Trip Advisor and a host of awards (including Gold in the 2021-22 Devon Ethical, Responsible & Sustainable Tourism Awards) since opening, RAMM has built an outstanding reputation for high quality exhibitions and a great visitor experience.
The Visitor Services team includes Museum Assistants and Casual staff, Volunteer gallery guides and trainees, all in the front line of meeting and greeting visitors and providing practical support for events and activities, including evening functions and corporate hire, as well as assisting with a host of collections-related behind-the-scenes tasks.
