Lead Artist for Basque Children’s Camp Public Art
Inviting submissions from Artists to develop and deliver a Public Art Commission, which marks the 90th anniversary of the Basque children’s camp.
Eastleigh Borough Council is committed to supporting Public Art as a contributing factor in ‘building strong, vibrant and healthy communities’ (EBC Public Art Strategy).
This collaborative project between EBC, Chandler’s Ford Parish Council and The Basque Children of ’37 Association UK aims to use funding available to raise awareness of hidden histories through public art at Suffolk Drive Open Space in Chandler’s Ford.
A commission budget of £9000 is available to the Appointed Artist.
The Council welcomes proposals from across the creative disciplines including interdisciplinary approaches between Artists and collaborators of their choosing.
For full information about the commission opportunity and how to apply please read the Artist’s Brief on the Council’s website.
