KIT FORM DARKROOM Photo Exhibition Open Call

In conjunction with the launch of the new KIT FORM DARKROOM we want to celebrate Bristol’s amazing analogue photographers and artists with a free open call exhibition.

We will accept all works submitted, and hang them in a salon-style, with each work labelled individually.

The exhibition dates will be Wednesday 8th - Sunday 12th April, 12:00 -18:00

Join us with our friends Tim and Emily from Negative Thinking for one of our first collaborations, a Wet Plate Collodion Portrait demonstration!

Drop by at 10:30 - 12:00, 13:30 - 15:00 and 16:30 - 18:00 to witness this historic photographic process, see our wonderful new darkroom space and sign up to become a darkroom member!

EXHIBITION OPEN CALL RULES

1. You’re Bristol based
   

2. The work must be analogue photography / analogue process (not digital)

3. You can submit up to three works max (we may not hang them all)
   

4. The work must be ready to hang, including fixings and screws / pins / bulldog clips - whatever is needed. Please include instructions.
   We won’t hang it unless it’s ready to go, we won’t make any decisions about how to hang your work

5. We discourage plastic / IKEA frames (sorry!)

6. We reserve the right not to hang your work if we believe it to be offensive

7. Work drop off days are;
   Tuesday 31st March - between 17:00 and 18:00
   Thursday 2nd April - between 11:00 and 14:00
   Sunday 5th April - between 11:00 and 13:00

8. Work pick up days are;
   Monday 13th April - between 10:00 and 16:00
   Wednesday 15th - between 16:00 and 18:00
   Sunday 19th - between 12:00 and 14:00

9. Works to be dropped at KIT FORM, 37 Jamaica Street, Stokes Croft, Bristol, BS2 8JP

   We can’t facilitate any other drop off or pick up times, sorry. If you can’t make it, someone else can drop your work off / pick the works up

10. We can’t store any works past the pick up dates

11. Works must have suitable packaging / bubble wrap / cardboard packing to keep them safe

12. You can sell your work. We will take 30% commission. If you want to sell your work you must clearly include the price and whether it’s framed or unframed
