The Green Hill Arts Open is a biannual exhibition, and a highly anticipated and vibrant event. Established in 2012, and situated in Moretonhampstead, Green Hill Arts is a wonderful gallery, run by a small but dedicated team of staff and volunteers. The Open Exhibition attracts creatives from far and wide, inviting applicants from all disciplines to apply. We are especially keen to encourage 3D work; textiles, basket weaving, jewellry and sculpture as well as 2D, photography, painting, drawing, and collage works. This year's selection panel will be made up of Nicholas JR White, Rosie Saunders, Katy Macleod, Hilary Burns and Bruce Chivers.

Green Hill Arts curator, Carol Harvey says “The Open is always a delight, we have a great panel of judges this year and hope to encourage all disciplines of arts and crafts to enter. What always pleases me is the standard of work from artists and makers. My hope is for this exhibition to really show the wealth of local arts and crafts people in all disciplines... if you create it, we want to see it.”

We are delighted to be sponsored by Dartmoor Magazine for this year’s exhibition and can announce that one successful applicant will be named ‘Dartmoor Magazine’s Choice’. They will be awarded an article about their creative practice within the magazine later this year!

Submissions will be accepted via the Green Hill Arts website from the 1st of March and will be open until the 12th of May. Submissions cost £20 per person and can include up to three pieces of artwork.
