Future Present: Designer Maker Call Out
Bridport Arts Centre invites designer makers from the South West and beyond to feature in Future Present – our annual Christmas selling exhibition.
Future Present will run from 25th November until 20th December and is Bridport Art Centre’s annual, curated exhibition showcasing contemporary craft and design including glass, wood, paper, textiles, prints, ceramics and jewellery plus Christmas gifts, decorations and cards.
To apply please email exhibitions@bridport-arts.com and submit the following:
• A brief statement about yourself and your work (no more than 1,000 words)
• Any website and/or social media links.
• A sample list of available works including images, price, size, quantity and medium.
We charge 35% commission + VAT, and 25% commission + VAT for items under £10, so please take this into consideration when pricing items.
The deadline for entries is Monday 9th October 2023 at 9am.
We will be selecting artists/makers during the week of the 9th and will aim to respond to you by 16th October. At that point we will be asking selected artists/makers to provide images for publicity, a brief biography/statement for our website and gallery texts as well as any additional information needed, and this must be provided by Friday 27th October.
Work must be delivered between 6th and 10th of November and collected no later than Friday 5th January. If you are unable to deliver/collect during these dates please let us know as soon as possible as we may be able to offer alternative arrangements. The exhibition preview will take place on Friday the 24th November.
Please note that we will not be able to show work by all of those who submit and the final decision will be taken by the curatorial panel. The work will be part of a curated exhibition managed and run by staff at BAC.
Those selected will be informed by Monday 16th October 2023 at 6pm.
