Free residency for locally based artist
We are offering our project space to a contemporary artist based in Cornwall from 3rd — 23rd May, deadline for applications 18th April.
Whether you’re struggling to work from your kitchen table, worried about returning to a shared studio space, finding you have some unexpected time whilst you’re furloughed or would just like to take advantage of the project space, our small library, A3 laser printer and tools let us know.
As an artist-led initiative our aim is to provide time and space for artists with a contemporary, conceptual practice to develop new work, and to explore and experiment with their practice. To help connect the selected artist with our arts community and provide a public platform they will also be invited to take over the Back Lane West Instagram account for the duration of their residency. This could be taken as an opportunity to share existing work, process, influences, or to connect to other artists and organisations.
