We are seeking a Director of Creative Communities to lead Creative Kernow’s strategy for community work, respond to new opportunities, manage the team and play a leadership role within Creative Kernow. The Creative Communities programmes present a dynamic participatory arts offer for people young and old from across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, reaching over 130,000 people per year. The tasks include: • Developing Creative Kernow’s strategy for Creative Communities building on our strong track record to grow our impact, diversify our income and encourage collaboration between programmes and departments. • Managing the Creative Communities staff team, ensuring they have the resources, support, development opportunities and training they need • Leading relationships with strategic partners including regional and national organisations and between the creative sector and community. • Holding the relationship with the Creative Communities Advisory Group, a diverse group of cultural professionals and community members who shape our work. Using their feedback to improve our work. • Using consultation, facilitation and networking to understand the needs of our communities and bring this insight into the design and delivery of programmes. • Leading on quality assurance, monitoring and evaluation of Creative Communities programme • Maintain oversight of the Creative Communities budget to support financial controls, reporting and forecasting, including supporting the Programme Managers to manage budgets • Report to the Creative Kernow board of trustees on progress towards agreed targets and future opportunities • Income generation – including working with the fundraising team to develop grant applications and developing consultancy/earned income opportunities for our methodologies • Developing strategies for audience and volunteer development • Lead on place making and initiatives for Creative Kernow • Ensuring the embedding of Creative Kernow’s cross cutting themes: environmental sustainability, impact and data and equality diversity and inclusion into all aspects of programming and partnerships • Horizon scanning and opportunity spotting • Contributing to setting the strategic direction of Creative Kernow To apply, please visit: https://www.creativekernow.org.uk/vacancies/
