Job
Digital Content & Social Media Officer
Arts University Plymouth is seeking to appoint a full-time Digital Content & Social Media Officer to join a dynamic, fast-paced and creative team.
As Digital Content & Social Media Officer you’ll primarily be responsible for researching, creating, commissioning and publishing engaging and creative content across our various social media channels, as well as updating our university profiles, our website and contributing to or leading other content-rich projects.
This role will support the Head of Communications and Marketing and work with the Senior Press & Communications Officer, our Brand & Digital Marketing Manager, the wider Brand and Student Recruitment Team and our university staff to research, write and commission content to promote the work and events of the university, our students, staff, alumni and partners.
The successful candidate will have experience of managing a range of digital and social media channels to successfully acquire and meaningfully engage audiences by producing high-quality and impactful content.
You’ll skilfully plan and create channel-appropriate content yourself and work as part of a team to support staff and students in creating comms and experiences that are on brand, guided by our Strategic Plan, and tonally appropriate. The content you’ll create and share across multiple social media and digital channels will have a direct and positive impact, growing our excellent brand profile internationally and communicating the unique benefits of creative education at AUP.
You’ll be a bright and ambitious team player, with real energy and enthusiasm. You’ll be results driven and analytical, with great attention to detail with a strong understanding of where you fit within our university strategy. You’ll be able to offer an excellent customer-centric approach to applicant enquiries and to our internal stakeholders such as staff and alumni and deal with online comments or complaints sensitively and with discretion. A knowledge of art, design or media would be desirable and help you to build good working relationships with our academics and student recruitment teams, communicating their needs effectively.
Rated Number 1 Arts University in the UK in 2022 for Student Satisfaction in the National Student Survey*, Arts University Plymouth was founded in 1856 and is an independent specialist arts university with an internationally distinctive identity, which nurtures a truly collaborative cross-disciplinary environment. In order to showcase our students, staff and events effectively, we anticipate that this role will be predominantly based on-campus with some homeworking possible each week.
It is anticipated that interviews will take place on Thursday, 12th of January, 2023.
